When you eat do you feel that there is always the choice between what you want to eat and what you feel you “should” eat? This constant battle often leads to a lose-lose situation as when you eat what you feel you should eat then you feel unsatisfied as it wasn’t what you wanted to eat and when you eat what you want to eat, you feel guilty for it!
Maintaining a healthy weight comes hand in hand with having a healthy relationship to food so that you feel positive about what you are eating: enjoying food is an important part of life! The lack of guilt means that there is no space for punishing food behaviours such as binging or starving yourself for periods of time.
It is important that you eat what you want to eat and that you listen to your body so that you avoid overeating. As long as you remember that richer foods can be enjoyed less frequently and in a smaller quantity then you are on to a winner! In my opinion, no food should be out of bounds but focusing on putting lots of nutritious foods into your body means that you are likely to be consuming a healthy diet with the occasional treat here and there!
Getting hold of lots of healthy but delicious recipes that you would choose to eat (without weight being a factor) is key. You don’t want to feel that you are dieting but just enjoying a lifestyle that you can be proud of 🙂 The great thing about these pancakes is that they feel luxurious and taste amazing AND they are packed with nutrition.
They are really very simple. You will just need (per person): 1 banana, 2 eggs, coconut oil, whole greek yoghurt, berries, pure maple syrup. Here is how the magic comes together!
Happy cooking! Look after YOU 🙂
