After all the Christmas indulgence, most of us are longing for some nutrition and wellness. It is amazing how quickly you feel energised when you start exercising and eating greens regularly again! January can be dark and cold and the ‘Christmas slump with all the sugary pick-me-ups’ will continue on if you don’t fight the feeling!
So what new things have WE got to offer you this year? I’m happy to report there are rather a few!
A key part of healthy living and weight loss is nutrition; ensuring that you are putting the right amounts and the right foods into your body is essential. In our effort to be the best at what we do, I’m happy to say we now have a nutrition coach on board, to support the work of our talented team of trainers!
Tor Burrows is joining us so that we can offer you the specialist help and attention your diet needs alongside your weekly training.
And while I mention training, there is good news on that front too! I’m thrilled to welcome both Richard Palmer and Lauren Murphy to the Free Spirit Fitness team!
Their arrival means that we can offer a greater range of availability and times throughout the week and over the weekend, which is something you’ve all been asking for.
Richie thrives on a love for training and movement, he aims to install the same enthusiasm in you by the end of the year!
Lauren is passionate about great form and loves helping people get stronger and more confident using weights and bodyweight exercises, she is also keen on those boxing pads! You’ve been warned! 🙂
As for me, following the pregnancy training that I did last year with Sally Parkes, I will now be offering pregnancy yoga 1-1 classes as well as mother and baby private yoga sessions. There is nothing more enjoyable than empowering women through the time of pregnancy, childbirth and into motherhood, ensuring that they get some movement that will help strengthen the body to prepare and then recover from childbirth. I am very excited to now be qualified to guide pregnant women through this journey.
This brings me to the more personal news that my wife and I are expecting a baby, due in June! I am planning to work fairly normal hours until April, at which point I will start to reduce my working hours and will continue to oversee the training and nutrition coaching to ensure that we are delivering sessions to our highest standard and that all our clients are healthy and happy. I am currently looking for a new yoga teacher to join the teaching team so that all you yoga-lovers can still get your weekly fix!
What adventures are happening for you this year? Whether it is a new job, new lifestyle or holiday – we can help you make the most of your year! So get in touch!
Wishing you all a fantastic 2018,
Love and light,
Victoria xx
